COVID Information:

When Covid struck and lockdown rules came into play an entire generation of people became isolated, vulnerable and often forgotten. Our group provided regular support and contact throughout, linking in with local authorities to ensure overall wellbeing and support in the form of company, exercise and delivery of goods.

About

Allow me to introduce myself and our community group. My name is Beverley Santana Vega and I run a social enterprise that supports older members of the community to thrive and live their best lives. I work to bring isolated or venerable adults together from Bury, Prestwich, Whitefield and Unsworth, improving mental health and overall quality of life.  Helping older adults to live their best lives!
Our group was formed 5 years ago with the help of Bury Council. What began as a simple chair exercise class, soon evolved into a growing friendship circle and support group for older adults in Prestwich, Whitefield, Radcliffe and Unsworth.
Now we have continued to grow into a vibrant and positive support group, no… a family.
Offering social events, wellbeing walks, mindfulness, exercise classes and overall mental and physical health support. Laughter, friendship, mental and physical wellbeing are all key components of our group. Our aim is to help older adults not just survive in later life, but to thrive in later life!

We need the help of our communities to ensure we can do that. Assisting with rent for room hire, equipment, admin costs, refreshments, transportation and other rising overheads. I'm asking for your support in whatever way you can in the for of donations, sponsorship, raffle prizes etc. Anything that will help us to continue to provide these much-loved services.
